Job's Nursery and Pumpkin Patch LLC

Helping Tri-City Gardeners Grow Since 1940!

Job's Nursery LLC is a family owned nursery and tree farm that offers a wide selection of outdoor plants that are hardy for our area. We are located just north of Pasco on Columbia River Road.  It's a short trip to a beautiful location to escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.

The Emerald Green Arborvitae is the standard in living fences in our area. Here are some basics to keeping them happy.  The Emerald Green's size at maturity is 12 to 15 feet tall and 4 1/2 feet wide which provides blocking without taking up much yard space.  The emerald green color is held year round vs other evergreens that bronze or purple out for the winter.

Space them 3 to 4 feet apart so it fills in at maturity for a long lasting hedge.

Water them to be evenly moist but not water logged. It's best to use a drip line or a separate shrub sprinkler zone than a grass watering zone because shrubs and grass have different watering requirements. If the rootball is clay be sure that it feels like the softer part of the back of your hand between your thumb and index finger.  If it feels hard like your forehead it too dry. Also water them in the winter monthly with a sprinkler on a hose.

Feed them Fertilome Start N Grow twice a year a quarter cup per 2 feet of height on April 1 and July 4th.

Trim them lightly to keep the desired height. This can be done in spring or fall to prevent sunburn on the foliage.  A little maintenance each years keeps them in check.

Plant them by our directions for shrubs.  Follow this link for more planting info.
