Signs of Underwatering
-Leaf drop only from the interior foliage of the plant.
-Wilting were plants perk up after being watered, or wilt in the heat of the day.
-Fall color when it’s not fall.
-Grass under trees has a gray sheen.
-Grass browns out in spots near trees and shrubs.
-Plants that are normally heavy bloomers like roses take forever to re-bloom.
-Ground feels hard when digging into it.
-Brown edges on the leaves.
Though when in doubt, you need to dig down 8 inches for shrubs/perennials and 12 inches for trees with a shovel, trowel, or use a soil probe to make sure you are soaking in deep enough.
