What to Expect the First Year

-You typically need to water extra.  The first summer for newly plants can be rough since their roots have not fully set into the surrounding soil.  Until that happens your new plant in relying on the water it gets in the area that it was originally planted in.

-You should see new growth, but it will be at a slower rate.  This is because the plant is focusing on putting roots into your soil to support more faster growth.

-You new plant should have foliage during the growing season or for evergreens year round.

-You should expect the tree to do what the nursery tag describes it to do.
