Are these evergreens ok?
Most evergreens are looking great this time of the year but the Dawn Redwoods, Bald Cypresses and Larches look like they are dying. The reason is because these three species of needled conifers are not evergreen, but deciduous. They drop their needles for winter like a maple drops it's leaves in fall. It's perfectly normal! If in doubt just scratch the bark a little with you fingernail and look for green under the bark or buds along the branches like in the picture on the right. They will wake back up in spring with new needles.
