CBC Arbor Day
On April 11th 2018, Alex and Arthur Job got to help out with Columbia Basin College's (CBC) annual Arbor Day event. Every year CBC students get to put their mark on the campus by planting trees around the campus. This year the trees were planted by the Library. Alex for 9 of the last 10 years has given a demonstration on how to plant trees. Arthur has demonstrated in the off year. This year they both joined the event because a rather large Pond Cypress needed a good home, and accepted residence at CBC. While Alex helped students plant the smaller trees, Arthur helped plant the big Pond Cypress.
It is very rewarding not only for the students to impact their campus, it is also rewarding to both Alex and Arthur to watch the trees grow from the Arbor Day plantings. The students may change but the trees remain.
If you would like to help impact your community next Arbor Day pay attention the different city's Arbor Day events. Then you can watch what you plant in the parks grow.
