Signs of Under Watering
Hot weather is here and a common problem with landscaping is applying enough water, here are some signs that you might be letting the plants get a little too dry.
-Foliage is limp or wilting and perks up within a few hours of watering
-Interior foliage is dropping during the growing season
-Foliage has brown tips or edges when there shouldn't be
-Foliage is dull in color vs being bright and lively
-Summer blooming plants are not blooming or pushing new growth as they should
-The lawn under trees is duller in color, does not stand back up after being walked on
-Fruit falls off prematurely
-The ground is dry feeling and is hot to the touch
-The ground is cracked
-The lawn is brown near the flower beds or trees
If you have one or more of these symptoms, its time to adjust your watering. Function check you irrigation system, check your irrigation filters, increase your irrigation run times vs times a day, use a sprinkler on hose to deep soak the plants.
